They don’t talk about this in Congress and certainly not in the corporate media, but the wealthiest 1 percent of the population earns more income today than the bottom 50 percent.

The top 1 percent own more wealth than the bottom 90 percent.

We have, by far, more inequality in terms of income wealth than any other Western industrialized nation on the planet.

Thus, there is nothing wrong with increasing taxes for the wealthy. It’s not redistribution of wealth, it’s just taking more from those who have and taking less from those who don’t have. It’s not some siphon from the wealthy to the poor, it’s just more money in the government’s pocket from one than from another.

250K a year is not Movie Star or Multi-Millionaire status. Besides, he is not taxing the rich, he is taxing almost every small business owner in the USA. 250,000 dollars a year into a small business is nothing when you think of the employees that are paid with that 250,000 dollars, the insurance, the building itself, etc. The person who owns the business will not bring in more than 30K a year. That’s not the American Dream. I could get a job driving a forklift making 30K a year.
