Chances of getting into a top business school?

My undergrad GPA was a 3. 1, but my Master’s (MSA – Tax) GPA will be anywhere from a 3. 48 – 3. 67. I’m locked into a job with a Big 4 accounting firm for the next three years. Assuming I get at least a 700 on my GMAT (I want to retake the exam to get into business school), what do you think my chances would be of getting into, say, Stanford, NYU, U of Chicago, or Wharton in three to four years?

you should boost up your g. p. a higher so you can get into a greater and better college. they may even pay for you. try taking extra classes and join some communities or programs your school provides you to.

It all depends on you, as you said you have to take the GMAT over a score of at least 700 is NEEDED to think of getting into one. Usually they look for someone with 60 months or 5 years of work experience.

    Stanford
    Average Work Exp. (month): 47
    Average GMAT: 721
    GMAT Range (25-75%): 700-750
    Average UGrad GPA: 3. 60

    NYU
    Average Work Exp. (month): 60
    Average GMAT: 700
    GMAT Range (25-75%): 650-750
    Average UGrad GPA: 3. 40

    UChicago
    Average Work Exp. (month): 54
    Average GMAT: 708
    Average UGrad GPA: 3. 50

    Wharton/UPenn
    Average Work Exp. (month): 72
    Average GMAT: 712
    GMAT Range (25-75%): 690-740
    Average UGrad GPA: 3. 54

    Good luck
